Here at Livonia Family Dental, we understand that your dental appointment can sometimes be a cause of anxiety. Whether you will be having a significant procedure or are just coming in for an exam and cleaning, you can count on us to help you relax while we provide you with great dental care.
First and foremost, we’ll go over all the steps that your appointment will entail, and you’ll be informed every step of the way. We also have Intra-Oral cameras and a flat screen monitor in every treatment room; that way, we can show you educational videos on the treatment you’ll be getting and also provide you with more comfortable care during the treatment. We use digital x-ray technologies to substantially reduce the amount of radiation our patients receive.
If your appointment includes filling a cavity or similar treatment, we can apply a topical anesthetic before your Novocain injection. This helps make even that Novocain delivery a painless process. Finally, we can offer nitrous oxide, commonly known as “Laughing Gas,” for patients who need a little more help in controlling anxiety.
