Livonia Family Dental is proud to offer minimally invasive dental procedures, also known as “microdentistry.” This concept is centered on preserving as much of your natural tooth surfaces as possible while focusing on prevention as the primary goal in your dental health.

What does “minimally invasive” mean to you? Well, primarily it means that we’ll encourage great oral hygiene, quarterly checkup exams and cleanings and a holistic approach to your dental health. When problems do occur, such as gingivitis or tooth decay, we’ll use the least-invasive procedures possible to correct and treat them. Air abrasion can replace drilling in many cases, and sealants can also help prevent cavities from ever beginning.

Ultimately, we want to use education and great oral hygiene habits to prevent tooth decay and gum disease. That means that much of responsibility is on you to keep up with your good habits. During your next checkup exam, let’s talk about what you can do to ensure you spend as little time as possible in our chair. It’s not that we don’t love to see you, but that we love to see more of you and less of your dental work!
